This mountain is the highest mountain in West Java. The mountain stand up on land of Majalengka residence, Cirebon and kuningan. The mountain last eruption happened on 1990. Many folks story says the mountain surrounded by mystical power. It is fulfill of myth.
The peak of Ciremai can be reached by passing 3 tracks, from Majalengka, Palutungan and Linggarjati. Linggarjati track is the hardest track, but many climbers love this way.
Those tracks are:
Track I (south track) : [Cirebon – Cigugur – Palutungan] – Cigowong – paguyangan badak – Blok Arban – Tanjakan Asoy – Pasanggrahan - Sang Hyang Ropoh - ciremai peak.
Track II (east track) : [Cirebon – Cilimus – Linggarjati] – cibeunar – Leuweng Datar – Kuburan kuda – Tanjakan bapa Tere – Batu Lingga - Pangasinan – ciremai peak
